Augmented Reality Semiotics Poster
Fall 2024
The Poster Portal project required designers to pick a theme and explore that theme by creating a poster and an augmented experience. The goal is for the augmented experience to be placed on top of the poster to help add layers and meaning to the story being told. The theme chosen for this poster and experience was ‘surveillance’. Designers went through extensive research, diving into the connotative and denotative meanings of each theme. After much research, I decided I wanted to focus on the different perceptions of surveillance culture. To help with my point, I looked into Project Green Light and how we are constantly being surveilled in the city of Detroit.
