Why is Physical Media Coming Back?
(Explainer Video)

Winter 2026
The Explainer Video tasked students with choosing a topic in which they would be able to explain through a minute long motion graphic video. The topic I chose was why is physical media making a comeback? I have noticed that in recent history, physical media such as CDs DVDs and retro video games have become more and more popular and I wanted to explore this idea for my video. For this project, I had to flesh out a concise script to pair with my visuals that would be able to get my point across within one minute. I went through many design variations, moodboards, and style frames before landing on my final product. Everything in this video from animation, asset creation, script, music, sound design, and voiceover was all done by me.
